Here are a few options for staying informed about matters that impact students and our school.
Become a PTA Member. Vote on issues impacting our students, school, and families. Your annual donation during ECC includes PTA Membership.
Attend PTA Meetings. See “This Week at Fox” newsletter, Fox Facebook Page and Parent Square reminders for upcoming meeting times and locations.
Sign up for Fox’s Weekly Newsletter. These emails include important announcements, updates, and reminders. Click here to add your email address to the distribution list.
Understand the role of SchoolForce.
Join the Fox Facebook page.
Attend Parent Education nights. Look for emails from the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District about these very informative sessions.
Participate in the Fox School Site Council. This is a way for educators to tap into ideas, feedback and opinions of Fox parents. See Fox School Site Council for details.
Volunteer Your Time and Talent
Offering your time and expertise is a great way to be involved in your child’s school life while you contribute to the overall success of every child’s education. It is also a great way to practice new skills and grow your community network while getting a peek into your child’s school life. Chances are good that there is a volunteer opportunity that fits your interest and availability.
Financial Support
Financial donations are always welcome—and by taking advantage of community partner programs your dollars go farther. Consider these opportunities:
Support the Fox PTA and School-Force. Donations support various programs at Fox, including field trips, assemblies, art, and music enrichment programs, the library, (just to name a few).
Make your Amazon purchases through Amazon Smile, which donates a small percentage of your purchases to our school PTA at no additional cost to you.
Snip and turn in your Box Tops for Education to the School Office.
Recycling at Fox: Save up your recycling items to support Fox. Each school year, we raise thousands of dollars to support our PTA programs by collecting recyclables from the Fox community. Drop off your recyclables by the flagpole. We collect CA-CRV recyclables, including plastic water and soda bottles, glass beer bottles, and aluminum beverage cans. Please contact Jim Cole with any questions or offers to help with the collection of recyclables.
Be Part of the Community and Show Spirit
Through events like Foxtravaganza, Science Fair, and Fox Community Building Events, you can participate, get to know your fellow Fox families, and have some fun. Don’t forget to sport your Fox Spirit Wear and revisit the fun at the end of the year with a Fox Yearbook.
