PTA Board Bios

 

 ColleenColleen Greshock, President

Colleen and her husband Tom moved to Belmont from the Philadelphia area in June 2017. They have twin boys, who are in 4th grade. Colleen previously served on the PTA Board in the Communications role. She is a strong advocate for public education after spending years teaching middle and high school English. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys running, coaching, and watching her kids participate in activities at Fox and play sports.

Professionally, Colleen is the co-owner of Lightsource Creative Communications, an agency that focuses on high-tech, business-to-business marketing.

 


AlleAllegragra Newman, 1st VP, PTA Council

This is Allegra’s fourth year as a Fox parent.  As 1st VP, PTA Council, she represents Fox Elementary on the PTA Council, which is a group made up of 2 members from each school in the district and meets monthly to discuss best practices, get updates from the district, etc. She is excited about the opportunity to become more involved in the decisions affecting  our kids’ education.

Allegra and her family moved to Belmont in January 2018, but her and her husband have been in the Bay Area for over 15 years.  They have a boy in 3rd grade and a girl in pre-K. Their extended family lives in the Midwest (Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan).

Professionally, Allegra is a Speech-Language Pathologist and works with adult patients in the hospital setting. In her spare time, she enjoys taking exercise classes and spending time with her family.


KristinKristin Stura, 2nd VP, Ways and Means

This is Kristin’s second year serving on the PTA Board. She enjoys volunteering at Fox in the classroom and on field trips. As 2nd VP, Ways and Means, she will lead the PTA’s fundraising efforts for the school.

Kristin was born and raised in the Bay Area. She lives in Belmont with her husband. They have 2 daughters at Fox (3rd grade and 1st grade). Both are active in local sports and  love being outdoors. In her spare time, Kristin loves to do yoga, travel,  and spend time with her family.

Professionally, Kristin works as an International Account Executive at FedEx. 


SueSue Constantinides, VP SchoolForce

Sue is in her second year in the role of VP, SchoolForce. She has previously served on the PTA Board in the role of Secretary. She enjoys volunteering at Fox in the classroom, supporting our Reading Power and Foxtravaganza initiatives, and serving on the TK/K family welcome committee. Sue and her husband have lived in Belmont for 9 years and love raising their two children here (1st and 3rd grade).  They have enjoyed coaching for AYSO soccer and love watching their kids play little league baseball and dance! They love to ski or swim depending on the season. 

Professionally, Sue is a Director of Recruiting, but has taken a break to stay home with her children, spend time volunteering, and pursue a professional coaching certification. 


LilliaLilliiann Yamada, Secretary

This is Lillian’s fifth year as a Fox parent and second year serving on the PTA Board as Secretary.  She also serves on the Buddy Family, Directory and Volunteer Committees in addition to volunteering in the classroom.  She is excited about the opportunity to become more involved in school-wide initiatives that impact our kids' education and school experience. 

Lillian and her family are from NY/NJ but moved to the Bay Area in 2005.  They have 2 daughters (4th and 2nd) and spend most of their time outside of school either doing various extracurricular activities, hanging out with friends or traveling.

Professionally, Lillian works full time as an HR Business Partner at a Bay Area tech company.


Jennifer O’Mahony, Financial SecretaryJen

This is Jen’s second year serving as Financial Secretary on the PTA Board. She has been particularly drawn to the close-knit Fox community and has enjoyed supporting the school in various volunteering capacities. Jen moved from Tewksbury, MA to the Bay Area in 1999 and has lived in San Mateo with her husband for over 13 years. Their daughters, Judy and Helen, are in 3rd grade and their son, Donogh, is in Kindergarten. They enjoy hiking and picnicking on all of the amazing local trails, camping, and cooking with friends. They are also often found on weekends at Fox flying kites, scootering, and hanging from the monkey bars (kids only). 

Professionally, Jen works as a Project Manager at Genentech.


RuhiyyaRuhiyya Hindi, Membership

This is Ruhiyya’s second year on the PTA Board as a membership chair. Ruhiyya has been volunteering at Fox for a few years as a classroom parent and other volunteer positions and is excited to join the PTA board.  Ruhiyya’s main focus will be to help grow Fox PTA membership and help parents understand the benefits that come with being a PTA member. 

Ruhiyya and her husband Faris have lived in Belmont for 4 years. They have 2 children. Kamran is in 7th grade at Ralston Middle School and Dunya is in 4th grade at Fox. Ruhiyya loves to bake, sew and spend quality time with her family. Professionally, Ruhiyya works as a Realtor at Keller Williams Bay Area Living (San Carlos).


 Vidya Tangirala, Parliamentarian

Vidya is excited to join the Fox PTA serving as a parliamentarian. This role primarily  serves as the President's advisor on parliamentary processes and the PTA bylaws to  enable the Board to execute decisions made by the PTA members. Vidya and her  family have lived in Belmont for 5yrs. They have two boys at Fox: a 9-year-old   entering 4th grade and a 5-year-old entering Kindergarten. In her spare time Vidya  enjoys hiking, yoga and music. 

Professionally, Vidya works at Genentech in their Commercial group. 

 


Cynthia Zhang, Auditor

This is Cynthia’s 4th year as a Fox parent and first year on the PTA Board. She enjoys volunteering her time where she has served as Yearbook Coordinator and supported the school Science Fair Committee, TK/K Welcome Committee and classroom as Room Parent for several years. She is excited to now join the PTA Board as Auditor where she will be responsible for verifying all expenses. Cynthia is originally from TX.  After several years working and studying on the East Coast, she is happy to have roots planted in CA with her husband Mike and their 3 daughters (2nd grade, TK and 1-year-old). They have lived in Belmont since 2014 and love the family-friendly and nurturing community.  In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys baking, being outdoors, volunteering and spending time with her family and friends. She also has an aspiration to get back into running regularly! 

Professionally Cynthia has worked in the healthcare industry in a variety of marketing and strategy roles. More recently, she has taken a break to be at home with her girls, volunteer and run her side business.


Mitra Sadeghi, Historian

This is Mitra’s second year on the Board. She served as the Treasurer previously and is now the Historian. The active and passionate Fox community was the reason for Mitra to join the PTA; she is happy to contribute to the community in a positive and productive way. Mitra and her husband, Cyrus, moved from NJ to the Bay Area in 2000 finding the perfect residence in beautiful San Mateo. Their daughter Parto is in 4th grade and super excited to make friends, play sports (especially swimming!) and do art and science projects all year round. Mitra and her family enjoy the outdoors, cooking/baking, and play sports all over the bay area.

Professionally, Mitra works as the Head of Operations Medical Affairs at Genentech. 


 

Rina Sathe, Treasurer 

This is Rina’s first year serving on the PTA board. Rina enjoys volunteering and being a part of the Fox community. In her role as a treasurer, she maintains records to track funds and financial transactions. She is also responsible for preparing annual budgets and financial reports for the PTA. Rina and her family moved from Boston, MA to Belmont in 2016. She and her husband have two boys, one in 4th grade and the other starting TK in 2020. As a family, they enjoy sports, hiking, reading, and traveling. 

Professionally, Rina is a scientist at a gene editing startup that focuses on finding a permanent cure for sickle cell and other genetic diseases.
