Fox School Rules


At Fox Elementary School we all agree to the following:


Before School:
  • Do not arrive before 8:00 am because there is no supervision.
  • From 8:00 to 8:15 am, wait quietly on the benches or pathway in front of the library.

During School:
  • Always treat others with kindness and respect.
  • Always keep hands and feet to yourself.
  • Always maintain a high standard of courtesy.
  • Always show respect for school property and the property of others both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Skateboards, in-line skates and scooters should be held and never ridder while on school grounds.
  • Heelys or any type of shoes with wheels are not allowed.
  • Bicycles may be ridden to school but they must be walked on campus.
  • No cell phones or electronic devices.
  • Do not bring toys, games or anything of value such as trading cards or jewelry from home.
  • Follow the directions of all teachers and staff.
  • When traveling from one location to another, please walk quietly.
  • If you ever need help you may go to any staff member or the office.
Lunch Recess:
  • Remain seated during eating time. Only get out of your seat without permission from the yard duty.
  • At 12:15 the yard duty supervisor will dismiss students that are cleaned up and sitting quietly.
  • Students who have not finished eating at 12:15 may continue to eat.
  • The library is open at snack and lunch recess. If you decide to leave the library during a recess, you may not return. No in.out privileges.
  • No eating or drinking in the library.
Playground Rules:
  • Play areas include the black top, grassy areas and play structures only. Students should stay within the boundaries and where they can be seen at all times.
  • Stay off the grass if it is wet and do not play in puddles.
  • Always use cooperation and sportsmanship.
  • Rocks, sticks, dirt, grass and tan bark should never be carried or thrown.
  • Do not exclude others.
  • Always use a soft touch only when playing tag of touch football.
  • Do not play in or near the bathrooms.
  • When the bell rings, stop playing immediately, hold all equipment and get in line for your teacher.
  • No cuts or saving places.
  • Bathroom and drinking fountain breaks should be taken during, not after recess.
  • When a ball goes on the roof or over the fence, tell your teacher after recess. Students should not notify the custodian or the office.
On the Play Structures:
  • Students should use all equipment safely and properly.
  • Always keep your hands and feet to yourself.
  • Take turns and go one at a time.
  • Students should slide down the slides, seated, facing forward.
  • Never walk up the slide.
  • Students should go across the bars in one directions, one person at a time.
  • No running or tag games under, on or around the play structures.
After School:
  • School is out at 2:35 pm for grades 1-3 and 3:10 for grades 4-5.
  • Do not play at school after the dismissal times.
  • If you get a ride home, wait quietly and safely by the flagpole or rocks until you are picked up.
  • Do not play or run near the parking lot.
  • If you walk home, leave the campus immediately.
  • If you attend Curiosity Corner, go straight there right after school.
