PTA Board Bios

 

Keyuri Shah, President

Keyuri is thrilled to be part of such a wonderful community and to be able to contribute in a meaningful way. She is excited to work with a passionate team of PTA volunteers, families and school staff to ensure Fox reaches its greatest potential.

 

Keyuri and her husband, Saurin, moved here from Southern California six years ago. They have twin girls in 2nd grade. She is also a court-appointed special advocate for children and works with abused and neglected foster kids to make sure they don’t get lost in the overburdened social service system. In her spare time, Keyuri loves running, weight lifting, hiking, traveling, and volunteering in the classroom.

 

Professionally, Keyuri works as a software developer at IBM.

 


Alya McGinlay, 1st VP, PTA Council

This is Alya’s fourth year on the PTA Board. As 1st VP, PTA Council, she represents Fox Elementary on the PTA Council, which is a group made up of 2 members from each school in the district and meets monthly to discuss best practices, get updates from the district, etc. She is excited about being a part of the decision-making process that affects our kids’ educations.

 

Alya and her family have lived in Belmont for over 12 years. They have a girl in 4th  grade and a boy in 2nd grade. 

 

Professionally, Alya is a Chemical Engineer and works in the Pharmaceutical industry.
 

 

Gretchen West, 2nd VP, Ways and Means

This is Gretchen’s first term serving on the board of the Fox PTA, but she has been an active volunteer on the PTA for several years.  Gretchen has served on the Fox Community Building Committee and has helped organize events for Fox families, and she has served on the Fox Field Day Committee and helped organize the school’s annual fundraising events.  As 2nd VP, Ways and Means, Gretchen will lead the PTA’s fundraising efforts for the school.

 

Gretchen moved from Northern Virginia 4 years ago and lives in Belmont with her 5th grader, Brayden, and her 2nd grader, Parker.  Both are active in local sports and love spending time with friends and being outdoors.

 

Professionally, Gretchen runs 2 non-profits for the commercial drone market and works as a senior advisor and subject matter expert on policy and business strategy issues for a global firm with a focus on the drone, automation, and automated driving technologies.

 

Sandra Sanvido, 3rd VP, SchoolForce

This is Sandra’s 7th year as a Fox parent and her 2nd year on the PTA. As 3rd VP, SchoolForce, she represents Fox Elementary on the SchoolForce Board. She is passionate about making sure that our kids get an exceptional public education.

 

Sandra and her husband, Marco, have lived in Belmont for 11 years. They have 2 boys; one in 5th grade and one in 7th grade at Ralston.

 

Professionally, Sandra is an independent CRM and Marketing Strategy Consultant. 
 

 

Kaori Kobayashi, Treasurer

Kaori is looking forward to her second year as Treasurer of Fox Elementary's PTA. In this role, she maintains financial records, manages the budget and processes expense reimbursements for the PTA.
 
Kaori and her husband moved from New York six years ago. They currently live in Belmont with two children, a daughter in 4th grade and a son in 1st grade. Kaori is one of the Girl Scout troop leaders for Fox's 4th grade Brownie troop.
 
Although a Psychology major in college, Kaori currently works for an accounting firm advising multinational companies on tax issues surrounding their globally mobile employees. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering in the classrooms and trying new experiences with her family. 
 

 

Sue Constantinides, Secretary
Sue is in her first year in the role of PTA Secretary. She enjoys volunteering at Fox in the classroom and on field trips, supporting our Reading Power and Foxtravaganza initiatives, and serving on the TK/K family welcome committee. 

 

Sue and her husband have lived in Belmont for 7 years and love raising their two children here (TK and 1st grader).  They are involved in AYSO soccer, Belmont Redwood Shores Little League baseball, and love to ski or swim depending on the season. 

 

Professionally, Sue is a Director of Recruiting but has taken a break to stay home with her children, spend time volunteering, and pursue a professional coaching certification. 

 


Reena Bhaskar, Financial Secretary 
This is the first year Reena is serving on the PTA Board. As financial secretary, she is responsible for processing incoming payments and back-end financial reconciliations. She appreciates that this role involves frequent interactions with members of the Fox community. Reena finds volunteering to be a rewarding experience and you will often find her at Fox school where her children attend Kindergarten and 2nd grade.

 

Outside of school Reena enjoys spending her free time at Orangetheory Fitness, Krav Maga with her daughter, and spending quality time with her family.
 

 

Ming Wu, Auditor
Ming is excited to be joining Fox Elementary PTA as an auditor. In this role, he is responsible for verifying that all expenses are being properly spent. 

 

Ming and his family have lived in Belmont since 2007. He and his wife, Cindy, have two kids - a boy in 1st grade and a daughter in preschool. 

 

Professionally, Ming works for a SaaS software company focused on data and analytics. 
 


Sijen Olthof, Historian

Sijen is delighted to serve on Fox Elementary’s PTA, helping to influence programs brought to Fox. This is her third year serving on the board. She will be a historian this year. She also coordinates Fox running club. 
 
Sijen and her family have lived in Belmont for six years. She has two kids; her daughter is in 1st and her son is in 5th grade at Fox. They participate in many activities within the community.
 
Outside of school, Sijen enjoys spending time outdoors.  Sijen recently became the Computer Lab Teacher at Highlands Elementary School. She previously worked with, George P Johnson in event marketing, producing the world’s largest tech conference in San Francisco.



Colleen Greshock, Communications
Colleen and her husband Tom moved to Belmont from the Philadelphia area in June 2017. They have twin boys, who are in 2nd grade. She is excited to be a new member of the Board this year. In this role, Colleen will make sure the PTA’s communications align with regards to messaging and scheduling. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys running, watching her kids play sports, and catching up with family and friends.

 

Professionally, Colleen is the co-owner of Lightsource Creative Communications, a marketing agency that focuses on high-tech, business-to-business clients.

 

 

Becca Rowntree, Parliamentarian
This is Becca’s first term with the Fox PTA serving as Parliamentarian.  This role is mainly to serve as the President's advisor regarding the parliamentary process and the PTA bylaws to enable the Board to execute decisions made by the PTA members.

 

Becca and her husband, Dave, have lived in Belmont for 6 years. They have two daughters at Fox school, in 2nd and 5th Grades. They are both involved in local soccer teams, coaching AYSO or managing club teams.

 

Professionally, Becca works in Oncology Research at Genentech.
 

 

Ruhiyya Hindi, Membership
 
This is Ruhiyya’s first year on the PTA Board as a membership chair. Ruhiyya has been volunteering at Fox for a few years as a classroom parent and other volunteer positions and is excited to join the PTA board. Ruhiyya’s main focus will be to help grow Fox PTA membership and help parents understand the benefits that come with being a PTA member. 

 

Ruhiyya and her husband Faris have lived in Belmont for 4 years. They have 2 children at Fox Elementary. Kamran is in 5th grade and Dunya is in 2nd grade. Ruhiyya loves to bake, sew and spend quality time with her family.

 

Professionally, Ruhiyya works as a Realtor at Keller Williams Bay Area Living (San Carlos)
